Jordan: We will not allow our territory to be used against Iran
Media reports that the Jordanian Foreign Minister said in a telephone conversation with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran that the country will not allow it to become a regional war zone.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Jordanian Foreign Ministry announced a telephone call between the country's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, and the two sides discussed the latest bilateral developments and regional issues.
According to a statement from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry, in this call, Ayman Safadi emphasized the need to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue through diplomacy and dialogue, and announced his country's support for efforts to reduce tension and establish peace in the region.
Emphasizing that "Aman's consistent position is to oppose violations of the sovereignty of countries," the Jordanian Foreign Minister stated that Jordan will not allow it to become a regional conflict zone or be used as a starting point for any military action against Iran.
He also emphasized that his country will resolutely confront any violation of Jordanian airspace that threatens the security and lives of its citizens.
In this conversation, the Iranian Foreign Minister also appreciated Jordan's positions and positively assessed the country's efforts to maintain security and stability in the region.
According to the statement, at the end, the two sides agreed to continue diplomatic contacts and consultations on regional developments and the need to strengthen dialogue to reduce tensions.
