Axios claims: Araqchi and Whittaker likely to meet in Turkey on Friday

An American news outlet reported an imminent meeting between the Iranian Foreign Minister and the US special envoy.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Axios website claimed that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and US special envoy Steven Whittaker are scheduled to meet in Istanbul on Friday.

A senior diplomatic official also told Reuters that some regional countries, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman, are expected to attend the Istanbul meeting between Whittaker and Araqchi.

This news has not yet been officially confirmed by either side.
