Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon: Iran is capable of defeating America and Israel

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: "Sheikh Naeem Qassem," Secretary General of Hezbollah, gave a speech at a celebration held by the Islamic Education Foundation on the occasion of its 33rd anniversary, coinciding with the 15th of Shaban, the birth of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), under the slogan "Mahdawiyun."

 

At the beginning of this speech, Sheikh Naeem Qassem pointed out that when we refer to the Holy Quran and the noble narrations of the Prophet, we see that they confirm the existence of a man who will appear in the end times, namely Imam Mahdi (a.s.), and added: This point is the consensus of Sunni and Shiite Muslims, which is stated based on the Holy Quran and the noble narrations of the Prophet. We believe that the promise of God Almighty to us that the Imam (a.s.) will appear gives us determination and strength, and we are obliged to believe in it as part of our faith in God Almighty, the Prophet (pbuh) and the Islamic system. Therefore, I will talk about three things: first, the anniversary of the birth of Imam Mahdi; second, the anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Education Foundation; and third, the general political situation.

 

He clarified: We congratulate you on the 33rd anniversary of the Islamic Education Foundation. This year’s slogan is “Mahdawis.” The Islamic Education Foundation adheres to the Lebanese curriculum and operates in accordance with Lebanese laws. Its students compete in official national exams. When its schools progress and achieve success, they participate in a healthy, positive and effective educational process. Imam Mahdi schools educate students based on the divine religion of Islam, which God Almighty sent to humanity. The students of Imam Mahdi Schools excel in the fields of education, work ethic, morality, resistance, patriotism, attachment to the land, and the desire to elevate this country.

 

Sheikh Naim Qassem also expressed his condolences to the esteemed family of Sayyid Abdul Karim Nasrallah, the father of martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, on the passing of his beloved family, Hezbollah, and all those who love and are associated with this great movement, this man and his noble and holy son.

 

The Secretary General of Lebanese Hezbollah added: “Are we facing an aggression that seeks land, occupation, and enslavement of the people, or are we facing a problem called resistance and a people who adhere to their rights and land in times of power imbalance? We are facing an American hegemony that transcends the world. The question is: Do we prevent this hegemony by protecting our rights and interests, or do we surrender to it and give up our land and sovereignty?” The American and European arrogance, along with its allies, always talk about Israel’s security and its right to security.

 

Emphasizing that they want to consolidate and expand the Israeli occupation and achieve “Greater Israel” through pressure, submission, aggression, and brutality, he clarified: “Our position is that we are talking about our land and our rights. We are in the stage of defending our land, existence, and liberation. We are not facing a simple problem called a few attacks, but rather an existential aggression that seeks to erase our existence. The enemy wants to destabilize the environment and create internal divisions. They want to attack to scare people, to create fear, to force them to surrender and to force them to accept the lack of resistance to the Israeli enemy.”

 

The Hezbollah Secretary General added: “We must continue to say no to the enemy, confront them, and resist with all our might, with our defensive power.” We must continue to say no, to refuse to compromise, and to refuse to surrender. They are occupying our land, and this land belongs to us. This homeland belongs to us, along with our brothers, our loved ones, and all those who live in it. We will not accept leaving our land. It is incorrect to say that a party, a sect, a south, or certain areas have been targeted. This targeting targets the entire nation.

 

He noted: “Anyone who stands with the enemy under any pretext to force us to surrender is not acting from a national position, because liberating the land and restoring sovereignty is a collective national responsibility. We, as Hezbollah, are ready to discuss how to repel aggression with those who hold this view. I say to the Lebanese authorities: Explain to them that you cannot put pressure on your people and fellow citizens, because they have made many sacrifices, martyrs, wounded, and prisoners.” Our position is clear: there is aggression and we must consider how to confront it and regain sovereignty. For us, this is defense, not surrender. The battle of “Awliya al-Bas” (the battle of the brave) represents for us the continuation of our struggle at a time when they wanted to destroy the resistance and Hezbollah, and the enemy did not achieve its goals.

 

Continuing his speech, coinciding with the decade of dawn and the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon emphasized: On the occasion of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, we congratulate the Iranian people, the leadership and all those who work in the Islamic Republic. The promise of victory, despite all the trials and hardships, remains intact.

 

He noted: Iran is the crown jewel of the world and will continue to be and will be able to defeat America and Israel in the confrontation that is taking place in this era. This republic has given a great light to freedom, justice, morality, jihad, resistance, liberation and the place of the believing man on earth.
