Russian Armed Forces Advance in Eastern Ukraine

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the advance of the forces continues and that the settlements of Starokrayinka in the Zaporizhia region and Stepanovka in Donetsk have been liberated.

 

The ministry also announced that fuel and energy infrastructure facilities related to the Ukrainian armed forces were targeted.

 

The ground battle in eastern Ukraine continues while negotiators from Ukraine, Russia and the United States meet behind closed doors in Abu Dhabi today.

 

Ukraine's withdrawal from the Donbas region has been described as the most important challenge in the negotiations.
