Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: A Kremlin spokesman said Thursday that the Kremlin would not waste its time on "unsubstantiated comments" in Western media and statements by the Polish prime minister that sex offender Jeffrey Epstein may have been some kind of Russian intelligence agent.
The response followed Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk's remarks on Tuesday. He had announced that Warsaw would launch an investigation into "possible links" between Epstein and Russian intelligence services and any "potential influence" on Poland. Tusk made the claims without providing any evidence to support them.
This comes as Western media outlets have been discussing in recent days whether Epstein was actually a Russian agent, collecting incriminating information from the rich and powerful. The Kremlin has denied the claims as baseless.
