Nearly 27,000 Afghan families displaced following airstrikes and artillery by the Pakistani regime
The Minister of Economy has announced that the airstrikes and artillery of the Pakistani military forces on various parts of the country have displaced nearly 27,000 families and warned that there is an urgent need for emergency assistance.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, Minister of Economy of the Islamic Emirate, has said that as a result of airstrikes and artillery of Pakistani military forces on various parts of Afghanistan, nearly 27,000 families have been displaced from their homes. The Minister of Economy announced this statistic today (Thursday) at a meeting to attract emergency aid to UN institutions and offices in Kabul. He provided details of the displaced by provinces: 688 families in Nuristan province, 10,395 families in Kunar, 593 families in Nangarhar, 71 families in Laghman, 7,000 families in Paktia, 3,830 families in Khost, 1,500 families in Paktika, 822 families in Zabul and 895 other families in Kandahar have been forced to flee their homes. This statistic shows the increase in the humanitarian crisis in the eastern and southern regions of the country. The widespread displacement of families necessitates the urgent need for humanitarian assistance, shelter, and the provision of life materials. International institutions and UN offices will play a key role in crisis management and support for affected families at the aid meeting.
