Distribution of more than 2 million afghanis in cash and health packages to displaced families in Paktia
The National Disaster Preparedness Agency announced that with the cooperation of international organizations, it has begun the process of distributing cash and non-food aid to 368 displaced families caused by the war in Paktia.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The National Disaster Preparedness Agency has announced that in a joint action with the support of AWCPO and UNICEF, it has addressed the vital needs of 368 families who have been displaced by previous wars. In this relief program, which was attended by local officials, the AWCPO Institute, with the financial support of the World Food Program (WFP), distributed 5,800 afghanis to each family. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has also provided a standardized health package for each of these families to improve their living and health. Officials at the Paktia Disaster Management Department have stressed that the aid was provided after a thorough investigation and identification of deserving families to ensure transparency in the distribution process.
