Kabul and Tashkent emphasize expanding economic cooperation with special focus on the spice market
The Minister of Industry and Trade, in a meeting with the head of the Uzbek Spice Industry Development Agency, emphasized increasing trade cooperation, especially in the spice sector. The two sides reviewed significant potential for expanding economic exchanges between the two countries.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade has issued a press release announcing that Nuruddin Azizi, Minister of the Ministry, in a meeting with Abdullah Azizov, Head of the Uzbek Spice Industry Development Agency, emphasized strengthening economic relations between the two countries.

Referring to the more than 50 percent growth in trade volume between the country and Uzbekistan, Mr. Azizi said that there is significant potential for further increasing trade exchanges.

Stressing the importance of importing quality spices, he added that quality control and ensuring reasonable prices for spices in the market are among the basic priorities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Minister of Industry and Trade also invited Uzbek investors to invest in this field with the participation of the country's private sector.

Meanwhile, Abdullah Azizov positively assessed the country's security situation and announced Uzbekistan's interest in expanding economic cooperation, especially in the spices sector.

He announced the establishment of a joint working group with the country's Spices and Food Administration and emphasized the development of technical cooperation and the establishment of spice distribution centers.

At the end of the meeting, Nuruddin Azizi announced that in the near future, a delegation from the country's private sector will travel to Uzbekistan to explore opportunities for further cooperation.
