Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): On the 38th day of the war imposed against Iran, the battlefield has now reached a turning point in which all the initial equations of Washington and Tel Aviv have been overturned. What can be seen today is the consolidation of a deep strategic stalemate in which the United States and the Zionist regime have completely failed to achieve their major goals and Iran has taken the initiative by changing the nature of the war from a mere military confrontation to an economic-informational-psychological war.
The most important strategic development in recent days has been the demonstration of the fragility and ineffectiveness of America’s “decisive strike” strategy against Iran’s “attrition resistance” strategy. Despite Pentagon officials’ claims that Iran’s capabilities have been destroyed, the reality on the ground paints a completely different picture. Iran has not only maintained its capabilities, but has also increased the intensity and precision of its operations by launching nearly a hundred waves of attacks. This discrepancy between US military propaganda and the reality on the ground has become a deep trust gap in Washington’s decision-making structure, where even Pentagon analysts admit that there are no meaningful strategic targets left to bomb and that any continued attacks will simply result in targeting targets of diminishing importance.
At the operational level, the Strait of Hormuz has become the strategic center of gravity of the war, and Iran has successfully transformed this vital waterway into its “ultimate deterrent.” The more than 90 percent drop in Western tanker traffic and the rise in oil prices to above $109 per barrel indicate the success of Iran’s “economic isolation” strategy. This situation has put increasing pressure on the European and American economies and has caused unprecedented disruption to global supply chains. Analysts warn that if this situation continues until the summer, oil prices will reach $150, with disastrous consequences for the Western economy.
From a political and diplomatic perspective, the international anti-Iranian coalition has completely collapsed. The independent stance of France, led by Emmanuel Macron, and its outspoken opposition to any military action to force the opening of the Strait of Hormuz have exposed a deep transatlantic divide. Russia and China have also vetoed any resolution against Iran in the Security Council. Washington’s diplomatic isolation is in stark contrast to Trump’s initial promises to form a “broad international coalition” against Iran.
On the domestic front, the White House is under increasing pressure. The downing of seven American fighter jets of various types (F-15s, F-16s, A-10s, and even a KC-135 tanker) in Iranian skies has caused not only direct financial losses but also a heavy psychological and emotional blow to the US armed forces. The disastrous operation in southern Isfahan, known as Tabas 2, has become a symbol of America’s strategic humiliation. The dismissal of more than a dozen high-ranking generals and the increase in the defense budget request to $1.5 trillion are clear signs of a crisis of command and trust in the Pentagon.
On the intelligence and technology level, Iran has shown that it has elevated the nature of war to a level beyond a mere military confrontation by targeting IT espionage companies such as Amazon and Oracle. These attacks, carried out in response to the assassination of Iranian scientific and military figures, have created a new equation according to which any hostile action against Iran will be responded to by striking the enemy’s economic-technological supply chain. This strategy has raised the cost of continuing the war for American companies and regional allies to such an extent that powerful economic lobbies in Washington have called for an immediate end to the conflict.
Qalibaf: Insistence on obeying Netanyahu's orders will set the entire region on fire
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, wrote in a post on the X network: Your insistence on obeying Netanyahu's orders will set the entire region on fire. Your baseless moves will turn America into a real hell for every single American family.
He added: Make no mistake, you will not achieve anything with war crimes. The only real solution is to respect the rights of the Iranian people and end this dangerous game.
