Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mustaghfar Garbaz, spokesman for the Khost provincial government, announced that 570 houses have been completely or partially destroyed following heavy rainfall and floods in the past few days.
He added that in addition, 110 acres of agricultural land have also been destroyed and other lands are facing serious danger of destruction.
According to Garbaz, two women in the center of the province have also been injured as a result of these incidents.
The recent floods in Khost have once again exposed the vulnerability of the province's infrastructure and agricultural land. The destruction of houses and agricultural land can increase the economic and livelihood pressure on families and farmers in the region and raise the urgent need for emergency assistance and reconstruction.
