Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Secretariat of the High Commission for the Resolution of Refugees published its daily report on the process of refugee return on Sunday (April 6), according to which Afghan refugees returned to the country from different routes and were covered by services in different sectors.
According to this report, in Nangarhar province, 318 families with 1,727 people entered the country through Torkham and were registered and biometrically scanned.
Also, 202 families with 1,151 people were transferred to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman and Kabul provinces and 760,850 Afghanis were paid as rent.
Also, 229 families were given cash assistance totaling 1,908,000 Afghanis and 326 free SIM cards were distributed to the refugees.
In Kandahar province, 46 families with 261 people entered the country through Spin Boldak. Also, 92 families with 524 people were transferred to different provinces and 1,06,400 Afghanis were paid for their rent.
Also, 94 families received cash assistance totaling 792,000 Afghanis and 816 meals were distributed to the refugees. In addition, 37 free SIM cards were also given to them.
In Nimroz, 35 families with 138 people and 377 passengers entered the country through the Silk Road. In this province, one family was given 6,000 Afghanis in assistance and 284 refugees received health services. A free SIM card was also distributed.
In Herat, 30 families with 115 people entered the country through Islam Qala, and a total of 216,000 Afghanis were provided to the same number of families.
Also, in the relocation sector, 107 families with 573 people were transferred from Kabul to different provinces, and 379,500 Afghanis were paid as rent.
In the permanent settlement sector, the Land Distribution Committee announced that land plots have been distributed to 1,413 families in Zabul, Samangan, Kunduz, and Sar-e-Pul provinces; 224 families in Zabul, 150 families in Samangan, 934 families in Kunduz, and 105 families in Sar-e-Pul benefited. According to the commission, a total of 8,265 refugee families have been distributed land so far, and this process is ongoing.
Based on general statistics, on this day, 429 families including 2,241 people were registered, 401 families including 2,248 people were transferred, cash assistance was provided to 354 families, and 384 SIM cards were distributed.
