Red Cross warns of threat to civilian infrastructure following Trump
The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, referring to recent threats against Iran, stressed that targeting civilian infrastructure, whether in words or in action, should not become a normal practice in wars.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Following US President Donald Trump's statements about Iran's infrastructure, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoliaric, yesterday (Monday, 6 April) called on governments to respect the laws of war in word and deed.

According to Reuters, Mirjana Spoliaric said in a statement: "Governments must respect and ensure compliance with the laws of war, both in what they say and in what they do. The world must not surrender to a political culture that prefers death to life."

He also said that deliberate threats, both in rhetoric and in action, against critical civilian infrastructure and nuclear facilities should not become the new norm in wars.

However, the International Committee of the Red Cross refused to name Donald Trump and the US government, despite referring to the conflicts in the Middle East.

These statements come as the US and the Zionist regime have repeatedly attacked Iranian infrastructure in the past six weeks, an action that has been accompanied by a decisive response from the Iranian armed forces.
