Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to media reports, the senior negotiators of Iran and the US have been identified for the talks on Friday.
Iran and the US agreed on a two-week ceasefire starting at 3:30 AM on Wednesday in talks brokered by Pakistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Based on this agreement, the negotiating teams of the two sides are scheduled to begin talks in Islamabad on Friday within the framework of Iran's 10-point proposal.
According to media reports, the Iranian negotiating team in Friday’s talks will be headed by Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, and US Vice President JD Vance will lead the US delegation.
Iran’s 10-point proposal framework covers not only its nuclear program and regional security, but also Iran’s primary and secondary sanctions, which date back some 45 years.
