Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): CNN reported in a report that prices of goods have risen in Africa due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
The report states that the prices of fuel and chemical fertilizers have increased across Africa because Iran has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz.
According to a CNN report, passenger transportation in some African countries has been disrupted due to the increase in fuel prices, and many restaurants and cafes are forced to close their services a few hours earlier.
The export of some African goods has also been affected by the war in the Middle East. A flower and plant producer says that they have been forced to throw away 20 to 25 percent of their products because Saudi, Qatari and Emirati airlines have limited their services.
The owner of a Nigerian oil company says they are trying to make up for the shortages by increasing production, but it will take months.
