UNAMA Response to Deadly Attack in Herat; Emphasizes Comprehensive Investigation
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has strongly condemned the deadly attack by armed individuals on Shiite civilians, including women and children, in Herat province and expressed its condolences to the families of the victims.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: UNAMA, in a statement, described the shooting of civilians in the "Dhamiri" area of ​​Herat province as a "horrific crime" and called on the Islamic Emirate to conduct a comprehensive and transparent investigation into this matter.

The organization has confirmed that 11 civilians were martyred and 11 others were injured as a result of the attack by unknown armed individuals on a number of civilians.

UNAMA has also emphasized the need to ensure the security of civilians and hold the perpetrators of such incidents accountable.

Previously, various organizations and institutions had condemned the attack by unknown armed individuals on Shiite civilians in the "Dehmiri" area of ​​Herat province and called for a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

It is worth noting that after several days, no group has claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack.
