Condemnation of the attacks of the Zionist regime on Lebanon by 18 countries, mainly European
The foreign ministers of 18 countries, mostly European, issued a joint statement, condemning the attacks of the Zionist regime on Lebanon and emphasizing the need to immediately reduce tensions, move towards a political solution and protect civilians and UN peacekeeping forces.

Foreign ministers welcomed the start of negotiations between Lebanon and the Zionist regime and asked both sides to seize this opportunity. They added that direct negotiations could pave the way to achieving sustainable security for Lebanon and Israel as well as the region and expressed their readiness to support this process.

In the continuation of the statement, the extensive attacks of the Zionist regime against Lebanon were condemned and it was emphasized that civilians and civilian infrastructure should be protected in accordance with international humanitarian law.

The diplomats also condemned the attacks against UNIFIL in the strongest possible terms, saying the safety and security of UN peacekeepers must be guaranteed at all times.

In another part of the statement, while declaring solidarity with the people and government of Lebanon, the readiness of these countries to provide emergency aid to more than one million displaced people in this country in coordination with the Lebanese government has been emphasized.

This statement also emphasizes the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon and the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and declares that it will continue to support the Lebanese government to exercise full sovereignty over the entire territory of this country.

The new round of tensions in Lebanon began after the large-scale attacks of the Zionist regime on April 19, which killed and injured hundreds of people and caused a wave of international concerns about the expansion of the scope of conflicts in the region. Following these developments, diplomatic efforts to contain the crisis have intensified and the international community emphasizes that the developments in Lebanon should also be considered in the framework of the ceasefire between Iran and the United States.
