Trump: I am looking for an agreement, not an extension of the ceasefire
In a conversation with an American channel, the American president announced that he has no intention of extending the ceasefire with Iran, and at the same time claimed that the developments of the next two days could be surprising.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced this morning (Wednesday) that he does not intend to extend the current two-week ceasefire with Iran, but at the same time emphasized that reaching a negotiated agreement would be the best outcome to end the war in the West Asian region.

In an interview with Jonathan Karl, the senior correspondent of ABC News, Trump stated that he believes that there will be no need to extend the ceasefire.

"President Trump told me today that he is not thinking at all about extending the ceasefire and believes that it will not be necessary," Karl wrote in a post on social networks, quoting Trump.

Expressing confidence in the future developments, the US President said: "I think you will have two amazing days ahead of you. I really think so."

When Trump was asked if the war would end through a deal or simply by disabling Iran's capabilities, he replied that both scenarios were possible but emphasized his preference for diplomacy.

Trump, who has been under pressure inside and outside the United States to stop the war with Iran, repeated the previous claims about the achievement of the United States in this war and told ABC: "The war can end either way, but I think the agreement is a better option, because then they [Iran] can rebuild." They have a really different diet now. Anyway, we eliminated the extremists. "They are gone and are not among us."

The US president also made a sweeping claim about his leadership role, saying, "If I wasn't the president, the world would be torn apart."

These statements of Trump came only hours after he announced in a telephone conversation with the New York Post that another round of negotiations between Iran and the United States may be held within the next two days.

In this telephone interview, Trump claimed that talks are already underway, although the process is progressing slowly.

He also claimed that a second round of direct talks to end the seven-week war would likely take place in Europe. But about 30 minutes later, in another call, he changed his mind and introduced Islamabad as a more likely place to host the talks.

Trump told the New York Post: "There could be negotiations within the next two days."

He advised this media reporter who was in Pakistan: "You really need to stay there, because things may happen in the next two days and we are more than willing to go there."

The presence of Vance, Witkoff and Kushner in possible negotiations
According to a CNN report, citing informed sources, Washington is considering holding a second round of negotiations with Iran, and it is almost certain that J.D. Vance, the vice president of the United States, will once again lead the American delegation, and Islamabad is still the main host option.

According to the report, Steve Wittkoff, Trump's special envoy, and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and senior adviser, who have been leading diplomatic negotiations since before the war, will attend any possible second meeting.

Some reports indicate that Trump has entrusted these three top advisers with the task of finding a diplomatic solution to end the current hostilities.

American sources have also reported that American officials are still reviewing the details of the second round and a final decision has not been made. A US official told CNN: "The next round of talks is under consideration, but nothing has been scheduled yet."
