Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to the official Emirates News Agency (WAM), a phone call was made today between "Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan", UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the UAE Presidential Court, and "Mohammad Baqir Qalibaf", Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, during which the two sides discussed regional developments and ways to reduce tension in the region.
This call comes at a time when Iran, in response to the US and Israeli aggression on its territory, carried out a series of missile and drone attacks on US bases in the UAE for the first time and then attacked refineries, oil fields, companies and US economic interests in the UAE.
According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, at least 537 ballistic missiles and 2,256 drones have been fired at the UAE since the attacks began, according to ISNA. Although the country tried to claim that it had intercepted 93 percent of the projectiles, the number of hits, the censorship of attacks, and the punishment of those who published images of the hits cast doubt on the claim.
