The ABC network reported this morning (Thursday) citing American officials that a new round of talks between Washington and Tehran is likely to be held before the end of the ceasefire.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: ABC News reported this morning (Thursday): "US officials are optimistic about holding a meeting to hold renewed talks with the Iranians."
The sources, who were not named, told ABC: "A direct meeting between representatives from Tehran and Washington is likely to be held before the ceasefire expires."
The report claimed: "Communication between negotiators from both countries has continued at a steady pace since the end of the first round of talks."
US officials explained the claim: “These contacts were made mainly through indirect channels, as well as directly through other means.”
ABC sources also claimed: “Washington wants to fill the gaps to reach a comprehensive agreement that can be finalized at the next meeting.”
