Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): While until yesterday some sources were reporting a strong possibility of holding a second round of talks between the US and Iran in Pakistan, this possibility has now weakened.
The two-week ceasefire is also set to end in three days, and a specific date has not yet been officially set for a new meeting between US and Iranian negotiators.
In this regard, a senior US official claimed in an interview with Axios: "If no progress is made soon, the war may resume in the coming days."
An Israeli source also told the regime's Channel 12: "We are ready to resume the war in Iran."
Axios also reported, citing two US officials, that US President Donald Trump held a meeting in the White House Situation Room on Saturday morning to discuss the new crisis around the Strait of Hormuz and negotiations with Iran.
These developments come as several attacks on ships around the Strait of Hormuz were reported yesterday and Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has announced that civilian ships must pay tolls to pass through the waterway.
