Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works, wrote in a press release that in 1404, a total of six million and 119 thousand and 497 metric tons of commercial goods were transported through the ports of Hairatan, Aqina, Turghandi and Khaf-Herat, while this figure was reported to be about 4.3 million metric tons in 1403.
According to him, these transfers included oil, non-oil goods and other commercial goods.
Based on the information provided, imported goods included fuel, liquefied gas, wheat, flour, oil, cement, ceramic tiles, sugar, construction materials and some foodstuffs.
In the export and transit sector, a total of 74,752 tons of goods were exported from Afghanistan in 2015, including dried fruits, rice, potatoes, minerals, watermelon seeds, chickpeas, copper, and pomegranate juice.
