Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The news and analysis website "Axios" announced this morning that US Vice President "James David Vance" has decided to travel to Pakistan.
Axios, citing three informed American officials, wrote that Vance will leave for Islamabad on Tuesday to hold a new round of talks with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The sources, who were not named, told this website: "Steven Whitaker and Jared Kushner, the US President's special representative, are also expected to travel to Islamabad for these talks."
This is despite the fact that last night, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly, said: "Trump wants to turn the negotiating table into a surrender table by imposing a siege and violating the ceasefire; we will not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats. We are prepared to show new cards on the battlefield."
