Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Qom: The ceremony of the 40th day of the martyrdom of Martyr Dr. Ali Larijani, his son Martyr Morteza Larijani and a group of martyrs accompanying them, coincided with the anniversary of the martyrdom of the master Martyr Ayatollah Morteza Motahari, was held on the evening of Friday, at the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Fatima Masoumeh (SA) in the city of Qom.
In this ceremony, which was held with the efforts of the Qom Seminary Teachers' Association, the Supreme Council and the Management Center of Iranian Seminaries. Hamed Kashani explained the personal, scientific and spiritual dimensions of Martyr Dr. Ali Larijani in a speech and, referring to the coincidence of this ceremony with the anniversary of the martyrdom of the master Martyr Ayatollah Morteza Motahari, considered this coincidence to be a message of valuable cultural and intellectual points.
At the beginning of his speech, Hojjatoleslam Kashani, praising the scientific and intellectual status of Martyr Motahari, said: Martyr Motahari was one of the unique thinkers of the Islamic world who played a very important role in explaining religious teachings and answering doubts. The late Allama Tabatabaei said about him that the presence of this outstanding student in the lesson created scientific enthusiasm and enthusiasm.
Referring to his personal experience of dealing with Martyr Larijani, Kashani continued: “Years ago, under the influence of the country’s media environment, I was a serious critic of him, but in the several-hour conversation we had, I encountered a different personality; someone with extensive knowledge of issues, unparalleled rationality, and a high tolerance for listening to criticism. This characteristic of acceptance and dialogue was one of his outstanding characteristics that is rarely seen in the Iranian management environment.”
Kashani also criticized the media situation in Iran and stated: Today’s media and political environment is contaminated with slander, rumors, and hasty judgments. My experience showed that there is a great distance between what is said in the media and the reality of individuals’ personalities, and this issue is also worth considering from a religious perspective.
He continued by saying that one of the important characteristics of Martyr Larijani was his deep belief in the seminaries and said: Martyr Larijani had a deep connection with the scholars and this connection was the result of years of interaction and mutual understanding, while some officials only care about this connection to maintain their position.
Hojjatoleslam Kashani also pointed out Martyr Larijani’s emphasis on rationality in the life of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and said: “He always emphasized that one should not get excited in analyzing religious and political issues and that decision-making should be based on rationality.”
He also pointed out Martyr Larijani’s acceptance of sensitive responsibilities and said: He accepted the responsibility of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council with full awareness of the difficulties and dangers, and this indicated his spirit of sacrifice and courage. In the final months of his life, his disillusionment with the world was palpable.
In another part of his speech, Hojjatoleslam Kashani addressed the spiritual dimensions of Martyr Larijani's personality and said: He was a person of worship and nightly prayer, he fasted for three months of Rajab, Shaban and Ramadan, and he had a deep connection with religious teachings.
