Kabul and Tehran emphasize judicial cooperation; a new round of Afghan prisoner transfers begins
The head of the Islamic Emirate Embassy in Tehran, in a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized the expansion of judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries and the beginning of a new round of Afghan prisoner transfers.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Maulvi Fazal Mohammad Haqqani, the head of the Islamic Emirate Embassy in Tehran, met and held talks with Dr. Asker Jalalian, Deputy Minister of Human Rights and International Affairs of the Iranian Ministry of Justice.

According to the Afghan Embassy in Iran, in this meeting, the two sides discussed the development of judicial and legal cooperation between Kabul and Tehran and emphasized the strengthening of this cooperation.

Also, in this meeting, the issue of starting a new round of the process of transferring Afghan prisoners from Iran to Afghanistan was considered, and the two sides agreed to accelerate and better regulate this process.

It is worth noting that the transfer of Afghan prisoners from neighboring countries, especially Iran, has been an important issue in bilateral relations in recent years. This process is being pursued with the aim of allowing prisoners to serve their sentences within the country and improving their situation.
