Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to RIA Novosti, a peace march was held in Tokyo with a record-breaking 50,000 participants.
The march was held under the slogans of "No to War!", "No to Changing the Constitution!", "No to Militarization!", "Let's Defend the Constitution and Article 9!"
The current government of Sanae Takaichi in Japan has increased Tokyo's military budget by moving closer to the United States and following the policies of the Donald Trump administration.
Various countries, including Russia and China, have warned about the increase in Japan's military budget and its activities in the region.
On May 3, Japan will celebrate the 79th anniversary of the adoption of its constitution. The constitution is called the “Peace Constitution” because of Article 9, which declares Japan’s abhorrence of war as a means of resolving international disputes and its abhorrence of having its own army.
