Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's representative to international organizations in Vienna, stated that the agreement between the United States, Israel, and Iran is unlikely to lead to the creation of a zone free of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in the region, because Israel, while demanding compliance from others, refuses to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
The idea of the Zionist regime joining the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty was first approved by the United Nations in 1974, following a joint proposal by Egypt and Iran. However, despite possessing a nuclear warhead, Tel Aviv has pursued a policy of nuclear ambiguity, denying international regulatory bodies access to its nuclear activities.
“Everything depends on Israel’s position, as the country categorically refuses to join the Non-Proliferation Treaty,” Ulyanov noted.
