Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Public Health has purchased advanced equipment worth nearly $ 5 million for the quality control laboratory of medicines and health products in Herat province. This is taking place while the food test had already begun in this laboratory. Officials of the Herat Public Health Department say that by completing the equipment of the food and medicine sector, traders and craftsmen can easily and in the shortest possible time, test their products inside the province. The ministry said in a statement that Firooz Ahmad Yarzadeh, the director of food and medicine of the Herat Public Health Department, called the cooperation of the private sector and the government necessary for the development and standardization of this laboratory and stressed that with the full establishment of this center, the need to send samples to foreign countries for testing will be eliminated. On the other hand, a number of Herati craftsmen consider the establishment of this laboratory as an important step in improving the quality of domestic products and say that this center will help reduce costs and test time. They expressed hope that with the standardization of this laboratory, the field of export of more health and pharmaceutical products of Afghanistan to the countries of the region will be provided.
