Start of the construction of the Hairatan crossroads cargo terminal worth 850 million Afghanis
The project to build a new and equipped cargo terminal worth 850 million afghanis has started today (Thursday, May 6) at the Hairatan crossroads in two years on a land area of one thousand acres, in public and private participation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Transport and Aviation has announced that the project to build an modern and equipped cargo terminal worth 850 million Afghanis, today (Thursday, May 7) in the presence of Mullah Abdul Salam Heydari, Deputy Minister of Road Transport of this ministry and a number of Local officials in Balkh province have started public and private participation in the Hairat crossroads. In a ceremony held on this occasion, Mullah Abdul Salam Heydari said that the project will be implemented in two years on a land area of one thousand acres. According to him, in this modern terminal, two-story repairs, regular vehicle stops, offices, workshops and other necessary facilities for transportation are provided. Moin Road Transport added that with the completion of this project, the problems of cargo in Hairatan route will be reduced, the order and security of cargo transportation will be improved and the ground will be provided for private sector investment. Local officials in Balkh province have also supported the project, calling it an important step towards the development of commercial and transport infrastructure in the north of the country.
