Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to reports, the parties in this consultation, while reviewing the latest developments and current trends in the region, emphasized the importance of continuing the path of dialogue and diplomacy, as well as expanding constructive cooperation between regional countries in order to preserve stability and prevent the formation and escalation of tensions.
Meanwhile, Taher Andarabi said today in his weekly press conference in Islamabad that we will not comment on the details or the path of messages between Tehran and Washington.
In response to a question about Iran's future response to the American side's proposal, he also stated: We are optimistic about reaching a solution and hope that the parties will agree to an early agreement. In this spirit, whatever happens through diplomatic channels in Islamabad is confidential communication and we hope that an agreement will be reached.
Asked whether the Iran-US agreement will be signed in Islamabad, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman also said: “We have no right to talk about the nature or details of this process. As an honest facilitator and mediator, we have a duty to preserve information and protect all details.”
He stressed: “We welcome any agreement between the parties, wherever it happens, and if it is in Islamabad, it will be a source of pride for Pakistan.”
Asked whether an agreement is close or not, Andarabi said: “We hope that an agreement will be reached sooner rather than later.”
