CNN: 1,600 ships stranded near the Strait of Hormuz
CNN, citing the International Maritime Organization, acknowledged that naval escorts in the Strait of Hormuz are not a long-term and sustainable solution to the crisis.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): CNN television network announced in a report: Approximately 1,600 ships are stranded near the Strait of Hormuz.

CNN also added, citing the International Maritime Organization: Since the beginning of the war, 32 ships have been attacked by missiles, resulting in 10 deaths and 12 injuries.

According to the CNN report, the International Maritime Organization has acknowledged: Naval escorts in the Strait of Hormuz are not a long-term and sustainable solution to the crisis.

Al Jazeera had previously emphasized in a report that Tehran had effectively attempted to exert greater control over this vital passage by announcing new mechanisms for ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, including requiring coordination with military forces and determining specific routes.
