The office of Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz in Bamyan, with the broad presence of scholars and various segments of the people, held a specialized seminar centered on “Islamic Unity in the Thought of Martyr Imam Khamenei (RA). The speakers of this conference, emphasizing that “knowing the enemy and confronting it” is the main pillar of the unity strategy from the perspective of this martyred leader, called identifying the common enemy a prerequisite for neutralizing divisive conspiracies and strengthening the Islamic nation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Bamyan: This scientific seminar was held by the office of Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz in Bamyan, and during it, various dimensions of the thoughts of Martyr Imam Khamenei (RA) in the field of rapprochement of religions and Islamic unity were analyzed.

Knowing the Enemy; The Essence of Unity from the Perspective of the Martyred Imam

Hujjat al-Islam and Muslim Dr. Mohammad Ali Hosseini, a scholar from the Waras district of Bamyan, discussed the conceptual definition of unity from Imam Khamenei's perspective in this meeting and stated: "He always called for Islam and the Islamic Ummah to converge and took valuable and influential steps in this direction."
Referring to the words of the Martyred Imam, he considered "recognizing the enemy and confronting the enemy" to be one of the most key commonalities among Islamic sects and added: "From his perspective, identifying and confronting the enemy creates unity and strength for the Islamic Ummah; because it is precisely by creating religious differences that the enemies approach their goals and weaken Muslims."
Dr. Hosseini also listed "rationality and awareness" as other important duties of Muslims and emphasized that the scientific elite should introduce anti-unity elements to the people so that members of society can wisely avoid division. He noted that the martyred Imam considered respecting sacred places, avoiding religious insults, empathy in action, unity in decision-making, and love for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) to be among the practical axes of achieving unity.

Practical Strategies for Realizing a Unified Ummah

Following this seminar, Dr. Alireza Shojaei, President of Bamyan University, explained Imam Khamenei’s practical strategies for achieving unity. He called emphasizing commonalities between religions and focusing on common points the first step on this path and said: “Islamic scholars have the religious duty to shape public opinion in the direction of unity.”
Referring to the martyred Imam’s broad view of the issues of the Islamic world, Dr. Shojaei added: “He always said that Islamic countries should focus on major and general issues, especially defending the oppressed Palestinian people and confronting the oppression of global arrogance, and take practical action against the aggressors.” He also mentioned scientific and economic development as other fundamental strategies of Imam Khamenei to cut off dependence on enemies and strengthen the common Islamic identity.

The transformative role of seminaries in rapprochement and civilization building

In this seminar, Hojatoleslam Walmuslimin Ramadan Danesh Punjabi, head of the office of Grand Ayatollah Fayyaz in Bamyan, also explained the role of seminaries in rapprochement of religions from Imam Khamenei’s perspective. Quoting the important message of that martyred leader on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Qom Seminary, he said: “He did not consider the seminary merely as an institution for teaching and learning, but rather defined it as a collection of science, education, and social and political functions.”

Mr. Danesh clarified that Imam Khamenei’s view of religious academic centers was not limited to the Shiite religion and he always supported all seminaries in the Islamic world. Referring to the effective presence of Sunni scholars in the decision-making structure of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the Assembly of Experts, he considered this as evidence of the martyred Imam's practical commitment to unity.
The head of Ayatollah Fayyaz's office considered the "reform of textbooks" and the establishment of the "Quran, Hadith and Tahdhib" department in the Qom Seminary as among Imam Khamenei's most constructive actions, emphasizing: "With this work, he showed that science must be up-to-date and scholars must address the needs of the day and new topics by utilizing the art of the pen."
