Araqchi: America
In a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that Washington's destructive approach has weakened the diplomatic process and deepened distrust of the American side's intentions, referring to the recent US moves in the Persian Gulf and some of the positions and rhetoric of the country's officials.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister of Turkey, held a telephone conversation on Friday evening, May 8, and discussed the most important developments in the region.

In this call, the Iranian Foreign Minister updated his Turkish counterpart on the latest developments related to the diplomatic efforts and initiatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran to definitively end the imposed war.

Referring to the recent adventurous movements of the US in the Persian Gulf and some ridiculous and insulting rhetoric of senior American officials, Araqchi added: The recent tension-building by the US forces in the Persian Gulf and their numerous actions in violating the ceasefire have increased suspicions about the motivation and seriousness of the American side in the path of diplomacy.

The Iranian Foreign Minister considered the destructive approach of the US side to weaken the diplomatic process and deepen the Iranian nation's suspicion of the US side's intentions, and considered stopping the illegal aggressions and excessive and unreasonable approaches of the other side as a necessity to advance the existing diplomatic process.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also recalled the need to continue diplomatic efforts to end the war and emphasized Turkey's support for the ongoing diplomatic process in this regard.
