Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources, has claimed that the two sides of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, with the help of mediators, are working to finalize a 14-point memorandum of understanding that will determine the framework and parameters of a month of negotiations aimed at ending the war.
According to the newspaper, the draft of the memorandum includes discussions on Iran's nuclear program, reducing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, and the possibility of transferring Iran's highly enriched uranium reserves abroad.
However, the sources have emphasized that key issues remain unresolved and could still derail the negotiations.
This news was released while US President Donald Trump said in a conversation with reporters that he expects Iran to respond to the so-called US peace offer tonight (Saturday).
Donald Trump has a completely dual approach towards Iran, and on the one hand he is struggling to reach an agreement with Iran and on the other hand he has adopted a language of threats against Iran.
This morning, he told reporters that if an agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran is not reached, the United States will take a "different path."
