Emphasis on expanding Afghan-Uzbekistan relations; Joint Chamber of Commerce to open in Mazar-e-Sharif
The Administrative Deputy Prime Minister met with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Karakalpak Republic of Uzbekistan and stressed on strengthening and expanding political, economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan also announced the opening of a joint chamber of commerce between Afghanistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in Mazar-e-Sharif.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVNA) - Kabul: During the meeting of Administrative Deputy Prime Minister Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi with Uzbek Parliament Speaker Amanbai Orenbayev, the two sides emphasized strengthening and expanding political, economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Tabekistan, the press office of the presidential palace said. Uzbekistan also announced the opening of a joint chamber of commerce between Afghanistan and the Republic of Karakalpakstan in Mazar-e-Sharif.

According to the presidential palace, the meeting was attended by a delegation accompanying the speaker of the parliament of the Republic of Kara-Pakistan at the presidential palace.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate has always wanted friendly and fraternal relations with all neighboring countries, especially the Republic of Uzbekistan, and is trying to expand bilateral cooperation in various fields.

He also pointed to the favorable investment opportunities in Afghanistan and the positive atmosphere of cooperation, saying that ensuring global security and creating necessary facilities for businessmen and investors has provided the ground for expanding economic relations between the two countries. He said Afghanistan was interested in using Uzbekistan's experience in various sectors, especially technology and agriculture.

Meanwhile, Amanbay Orinbayev, the speaker of the parliament of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, pointed to the economic potential of the region under his administration, saying that the region has abundant resources including minerals, cement, lime, oil and gas.

He added that in order to strengthen trade and transit relations between the two countries, the Joint Chamber of Commerce between Afghanistan and the Republic of Kara-Pakistan is scheduled to open tomorrow in Mazar-e-Sharif; He said the move would promise to expand economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.

Orinbayev also said that the Karakalpak Republic, as a transport gateway for Uzbekistan, can play an important role in the processing of raw materials and industrial cooperation with Afghanistan.

He further announced the provision of special privileges, including tax breaks for businessmen and investors, and stressed that the Pakistani authorities welcome the presence and activities of Afghan businessmen and are ready to cooperate with them in all respects.
