Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced that the meeting was held in the presence of Maulvi Shahabuddin Saqib, Deputy Minister of Finance and Administrative Affairs of the Ministry, Amanbay Orinbayev, Speaker of the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Karakalpakstan of Uzbekistan, and a number of members of the private sector of Balkh province and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Referring to the mutual visits of officials of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, Maulvi Shahabuddin Saqib considered these visits as a sign of constructive interactions and expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.
He also pointed out the extensive potential of Balkh province in attracting investment and the progress achieved in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, saying that the two sides can complement each other in the field of economic and trade activities.
The Deputy Minister of Finance and Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade added that during the visits of the governors of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the country, several understandings worth millions of dollars were signed between the private sectors of the two countries, and the level of trade between Kabul and Tashkent has also increased.
He described the role of the private sectors of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan as important in developing and strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
