"Ahmad Al-Shammari", an Iraqi MP, expressed regret on Monday over the actions of some Gulf countries to revoke the citizenship of their citizens for religious and political reasons. He called for the Iraqi government to intervene and grant citizenship to Shiites expelled from Bahrain.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Stating that these actions are part of a planned targeting, he stressed that the Iraqi government must intervene in this matter and grant citizenship to citizens who were forcibly expelled from Bahrain.

Al-Shammari pointed out that the expulsion of these Bahraini citizens was under the pretext of supporting Iran, and as a result, this issue requires the government's position to shelter and grant them full rights.

A number of legal organizations have previously criticized the Bahraini authorities' actions regarding the misuse of citizenship revocation against political opponents.

Following the war between the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran, and under the pretext of supporting Iran, Bahraini authorities have stripped some of their citizens, especially scholars, of their citizenship and expelled them from the country.
