Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): US President Donald Trump claimed this morning (Tuesday, May 13) that Washington may soon resume military operations in the Strait of Hormuz.
In an interview with CBS, Trump, while threatening to take “much more severe” measures against Iran, said that effective control over the Strait of Hormuz is a weapon in Tehran’s arsenal.
He claimed in this regard: “We could have kept it (the Strait of Hormuz) open, but I didn’t do it because some countries asked for it. We could have kept it open under Operation Freedom, but we could easily go back to it.”
The US president once again criticized Iran’s response to Washington’s overreaching proposals, claiming that the response was “completely unacceptable.”
