Nuclear issue removed from priority of Iran-US talks
While in the past, the US effort to limit Iran's nuclear program was the priority of the talks, the Pakistani ambassador announced that the opening of the Strait of Hormuz is the most important issue in the current talks with Tehran.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan's ambassador to Russia, announced in an interview with TASS news agency that the issue of opening the Strait of Hormuz has now become the main focus of the talks on Iran.

In response to a question about the main issues of the talks and the differences that have hindered the progress of the talks, he added: "The most important issue at the moment is the opening of the Strait of Hormuz; an issue that was not even on the agenda at the beginning of the talks."

The Pakistani diplomat said: "To be honest, these talks are very confidential and we do not have access to their details, but now the main issue is the opening of the Strait of Hormuz."

Stating that 22 percent of the world's oil, along with liquefied natural gas (LNG), chemical fertilizers, and raw materials for fertilizer production, passes through the Strait of Hormuz, Tirmidhi expressed hope that the conflict would lead to a peaceful solution.
