Iran and Afghanistan emphasize cooperation in 500 kV project and renewable energies
Mullah Abdul Haq Hammar, CEO of the Breshna Company, met with Ali Reza Bekdali, Acting Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Afghanistan, and discussed expanding cooperation in the electricity and energy sectors.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Breshna Company's press office issued a press release saying that the two sides discussed and exchanged views on investment in the electricity sector, the 500 kV transmission line project, and the development of renewable energies in this meeting.

Mullah Abdul Haq Hammar said in the meeting that Afghanistan is a suitable platform for investment in various electricity sectors and emphasized the expansion of joint cooperation between the two countries.

He also talked about the 500 kV power line project to provide a basis for energy exchange between Afghanistan and Iran in the future.

On the other hand, the Acting Ambassador of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul said that his country is interested in expanding cooperation with Afghanistan in the economic, trade, and energy sectors.

Alireza Bekdeli added that there are good opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries in the renewable energy sector, and this cooperation can also strengthen the basis for the development of regional cooperation.

The Iranian Ambassador also invited the CEO of Breshna to visit Iran and hold further consultations on joint cooperation, technical discussions, and necessary measures.

At the end of the meeting, the two sides emphasized the continuation of regular meetings and close coordination in order to expand joint cooperation.
