Afghanistan and Tatarstan’s Efforts to Develop Economic and Investment Cooperation
Nida Mohammad Nadim, Minister of Higher Education, continued her diplomatic meetings on the sidelines of the 17th “Russia and the Islamic World” Summit in Kazan, meeting with Oleksandr Korobchenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, and discussed expanding industrial, trade and investment cooperation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Higher Education announced this in a press release today (Thursday, May 14).

The Ministry of Higher Education says that Tatarstan officials have expressed their interest in investing in Afghanistan and developing economic relations with the country, a move that is a continuation of the Islamic Emirate’s efforts to expand economic relations with countries in the region and the Islamic world.

In recent months, officials of the Islamic Emirate have participated in several regional and economic meetings in Russia, Central Asia and Islamic countries to provide the basis for attracting investment, developing trade and joint cooperation. Previously, delegations from Afghanistan and Tatarstan had discussed cooperation in the sectors of industry, trade, education and infrastructure projects.

Experts believe that increasing economic interactions between Afghanistan and the Russian federal republics can play an important role in strengthening regional trade, creating investment opportunities and reducing Afghanistan's economic isolation.
