Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Russian Presidential Palace announced today that Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on May 19 and 20.
The visit, which will take place a few days after US President Donald Trump's visit to Beijing, is scheduled to discuss the most important issues of bilateral relations and deepening comprehensive partnership and cooperation between Russia and China.
According to the Kremlin, after the talks, Putin and Xi are scheduled to sign a joint statement and a number of bilateral documents.
Putin will also meet with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. The Chinese and Russian presidents will also attend the opening ceremony of the “Russia-China Years of Education (2026-2027).”
This is the first time China has hosted the heads of two major powers (the United States and Russia) in the same month outside of a multilateral summit, a move that analysts say reflects Beijing’s efforts to manage relations with both sides and cement its position as a pivotal power in a rapidly changing global order.
