Pakistani sources: Islamabad seeks serious mediation between Iran and the US
Along with the visit of the Pakistani Interior Minister to Tehran, some official Pakistani sources told the Al-Hadath news network on Saturday that Islamabad is seeking to continue the mediation process with full seriousness.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Some official Pakistani sources stated: Islamabad is trying to convince Tehran and Washington to show flexibility in the negotiations.

Official Pakistani sources considered today's visit of its Interior Minister to Tehran within the framework of mediation and emphasized Islamabad's full seriousness in continuing this process.

It is worth noting that upon arrival at the airport, the Federal Interior Minister of Pakistan was welcomed by his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who extended a warm welcome to him on behalf of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

After the welcoming ceremony, the two Interior Ministers held a bilateral meeting during which detailed discussions were held on Iran-Pakistan relations and the prospects for resuming peace talks. The meeting also discussed issues of common interest, including sustainable peace in the region and the latest regional developments.

The Iranian Interior Minister described Field Marshal General Seyyed Asim Munir’s efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict as sincere and committed, and appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Momeni stated in the meeting: “Iran has always been a supporter of peace, and we deeply appreciate Pakistan’s efforts in this regard. We view Pakistan’s initiatives with great respect and admiration.”

The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the historic and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran, and noted the importance of continuing cooperation to advance peace, security, and prosperity throughout the region.
