British newspaper announces resignation of the country's prime minister

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The British newspaper "Daily Mail" has revealed that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has told his close associates that he intends to resign, but will do so on his own terms.

The report states that Starmer is aware of the political situation and believes that the current chaos cannot be resolved. He intends to resign to avoid a public clash over the leadership of the Labour Party and to set a timetable for this process.

The Daily Mail added that the time of Starmer's resignation is not yet known and his relatives have asked him to wait until the results of the election of the Mackerfield constituency in Manchester are announced. In this election, the mayor of Manchester is nominated and he is mentioned as a possible successor to Starmer.

The Daily Telegraph previously reported that Keir Starmer could step down as prime minister in favour of the mayor of Manchester.

Sources said Starmer was considering all options and could resign voluntarily.

This is despite him having previously said he would continue to work. It is also said that this scenario would become more likely if all factions of the Labour Party could agree on the mayor of Manchester.
