Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mullah Abdul Wasi, Director General of the Prime Minister's Office, met with Mirdif bin Ali Al-Qashooti, Qatari Ambassador to Afghanistan, at the Presidential Palace.
According to the Presidential Palace press release, the Qatari ambassador described the relations between Doha and Kabul as historic and strong in this meeting and said that he will work to further expand these relations during his mission.
Mirdif bin Ali Al-Qashooti also reminded of Qatar's ongoing development projects and aid in Afghanistan and added that by taking advantage of the existing security environment, cooperation in various sectors will be developed.
The Qatari ambassador considered good relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan important for the economy, security and stability of the region and emphasized that Qatar is sincerely trying to find a suitable solution to the problems between Kabul and Islamabad.
Meanwhile, Mullah Abdul Wasi called the relations between Afghanistan and Qatar important and said that Qatar, as a brotherly Muslim country, has made significant efforts in the past two decades to ensure peace and stability in Afghanistan.
He assessed Qatar's projects in various sectors as useful and called for expanding the level of cooperation between the two countries.
In conclusion, the head of the Prime Minister's Office emphasized that the Islamic Emirate, within the framework of mutual respect, Afghanistan's national interests and Islamic principles, wants positive relations with neighboring countries, the region and the world, and supports the stability and security of other countries.
