Water supply project begins for 300 returnee families in Farah
The construction of a water supply network worth more than 2.4 million Afghanis has begun in the Mohammad Abad refugee settlement in Shib Koh district of Farah province with the aim of providing safe drinking water to 300 returnee families.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mullah Ziauddin Matinzada, head of the Farah provincial Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, said during the inauguration of the project that the network will be built at a cost of 2 million 487 thousand Afghanis and will take two and a half months.

According to him, this water supply network includes a 100-meter deep well, 19 solar panels and a water storage capacity of 20 cubic meters, which, upon completion, will provide safe drinking water to the residents of the Mohammad Abad refugee settlement.

Local officials say that implementing such projects plays an important role in improving the living conditions of returnees, providing access to basic services, and reducing problems caused by water shortages in remote areas.
