Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Public Health issued a press release stating that the summit was held with the aim of strengthening health diplomacy, developing health tourism, attracting investment, expanding scientific cooperation, and strengthening international relations.
According to the press release, ambassadors, health attachés, health sector specialists, academic figures, investors, and representatives of government and private institutions from different countries attended the summit.
In his speech, Dr. Fazlullah Sirat explained the current situation, capacities, and opportunities in Afghanistan's health sector, and emphasized the importance of exchanging global experiences, enhancing professional capacities, implementing joint health programs, and developing scientific relations.
He also considered international cooperation effective in improving the quality of health services, enhancing the capacity of health workers, and creating innovation and progress in the public health sector.
On the sidelines of this meeting, the Afghan Health Attaché discussed with representatives of a number of countries opportunities for joint cooperation, future plans, and expanding cooperation and exchanging experiences in the health sector.
This is while the Islamic Emirate has been trying in recent months to expand Afghanistan's health and technical cooperation with various countries through participation in regional and international meetings.
