Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Environmental Protection Agency announced in a press release that the Afghan delegation shared Afghanistan's views and needs in relation to the state of the environment and the challenges caused by climate change with representatives of various countries and international organizations in the technical and specialized meetings of this forum.
According to the information of the agency, the Afghan delegation focused on problems such as drought, air pollution, urban environmental challenges and the need to create sustainable cities in these meetings and called for greater cooperation from the international community in these areas.
It has also been stated that the Afghan delegation will hold meetings and discussions with international institutions, aid organizations, and representatives of various countries on the sidelines of this forum to provide a basis for expanding relations, exchanging experiences, and joint cooperation in the fields of environmental protection, urban development, and combating climate change.
It is worth noting that in recent years, Afghanistan has been recognized as one of the countries vulnerable to climate change, and recurring droughts, shortages of water resources, air pollution, and increasing urban problems have created serious environmental concerns in the country.
