UN blacklists Israel for sexual violence
The Israeli ambassador to the United Nations said in a statement that Tel Aviv would suspend its cooperation with the UN Secretary-General's Office in protest against the organization's decision to add the regime to the blacklist of perpetrators of sexual violence in conflict.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The United Nations has added Israeli institutions to a blacklist of countries and groups that commit sexual violence in war zones.

The Israel Prisons Service will be placed on the UN's 2026 blacklist, and other officials of the regime have been placed under a monitoring framework for possible future inclusion.

Danny Danon, Israel's representative to the United Nations, condemned the decision and said that he would suspend cooperation with the UN Secretary-General's Office because of the move.

According to Middle East Eye, reports and evidence collected by human rights groups show that sexual violence committed by Israeli soldiers and settlers has increased since the start of Israel's genocide in Gaza.
