Zahran Mamdani, the mayor of New York, condemned the war against Iran and added: I was against this war from the very first day. I still am. And this war must end.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Zahran Mamdani wrote: Three months ago on this day, a war began that no one voted for and the price was paid by people who had no role in deciding it.

He continued to emphasize: Thousands of civilians have lost their lives. Thirteen American military personnel will never return to the arms of their families.

Referring to the increase in prices in the United States, he said: Domestically, Americans have also witnessed the increase in gasoline and food prices; family budgets are under pressure from a war that began without a single vote from Congress.

The Muslim mayor of New York continued: “Every life lost abroad and every dollar taken from working families at home is part of the same reckless cost imposed on people; by those who will never pay the price for it themselves.”

He concluded by reiterating his opposition to the war against Iran: “I have been against this war from day one. I still am. And this war must end.”
