Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): "Aymangul Tasmagambetov," Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, warned at the Moscow security conference about the consequences of increasing tensions between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Pakistan, emphasizing that these tensions have a direct impact on the security situation in the region.
Referring to the importance of stability in border areas, he said that strengthening security on the border of Afghanistan and Tajikistan can help reduce tensions and increase regional stability.
According to Tasmagambetov, the Joint Intergovernmental Program of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, which was approved by the heads of member states in 2024, has significant potential to reduce security threats and strengthen regional stability.
This is while Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, had previously said in response to the remarks of the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization that the concerns of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization about the threat from Afghanistan were unfounded.
He had emphasized that "Afghanistan is under the complete control of the Islamic Emirate and there is no threat from this country's territory to other countries, including its neighbors."
